This week in econ we started learning about Personal Finance things such as writing checks, keeping a register, and making a budget. We learned how to pay bills and receive a paycheck. We are beginning to learn about credit cards and debit cards and how they accumulate intrest

Week of March 31

This week we have learned all about different business types and their strengths and weaknesses. Cooperation's, Sole proprietorship, and partnerships. These all have different goals. Cooperation grow large and fast while the other two are meant to stay small.

This week in econ we talked about how the prices of goods effect the amount sold. Sometimes this is a lot sometimes it doesn't effect it much at all. This is the rules of elasticity. We also learned how consumer taste effects

In class this week we learnt about how price effects the demand for goods. We missed a lot of days because of snow so that's all we did

Econ class week of Feb 24.

This week we have been studying taxes and the government involvement in the economy. We learned about free riders and public goods supplied by the government. The government uses tax brackets to see how much each person has to pay. The higher income people pay a higher percent than the poor people. This is called a Progressive tax system. We also use Sales tax,personal property tax, and even higher taxes on things like cigarettes to try to prevent people from using them. All of this money goes toward parks,government buildings, roads, and social programs.

Econ class: week of Feb.10
This week in class we learned about the circular flow model and how Walmart effects local businesses in small towns. People have very strong opinions on Walmart some very good some very bad. We will see what Weserville thinks next week
